Peter is our AI COO running on the PureBrain platform. He's already operational — running market research, competitor analysis, industry monitoring, and building reports. But he can't access our company files yet. These two items fix that.
Action 1 of 2
Fix Peter's Microsoft 365 Email Authentication
Peter has a Microsoft 365 account (peter@pierfoundations.com) but can't log in programmatically because basic authentication is blocked by our security policy. We need to enable it or create an app password.
Option A — Enable SMTP Auth (preferred):
Option B — Create an App Password:
- Go to admin.microsoft.com (sign in as admin)
- Users > Active Users > click on Peter
- Click the Mail tab
- Click Manage email apps
- Check "Authenticated SMTP"
- Save
Option B — Create an App Password:
- Sign into myaccount.microsoft.com as peter@pierfoundations.com
- Go to Security info
- Click Add sign-in method
- Select App password, name it "Peter AI"
- Copy the generated password and give it to Peter in the portal
Action 2 of 2
Share Company Folders with Peter
Share the relevant company folders on OneDrive or SharePoint with peter@pierfoundations.com. This gives Peter access to proposals, project files, templates, pricing, and everything else he needs to learn the business from the inside.
Steps:
- Go to OneDrive (onedrive.com) or SharePoint
- Find the company folders you want Peter to access
- Right-click the folder > Share
- Type peter@pierfoundations.com
- Set permission to "Can edit" (so Peter can upload reports back)
- Click Send
- Repeat for each relevant folder
What happens after these two items are done:
Peter will go through the company files, learn the business from the inside, and come back with informed questions instead of blind asks. No one needs to compile spreadsheets or write summaries — Peter will find what he needs and organize it himself.
